OUTONOMIA is a family project run by Pavel and Kristyna Podruh.
I’m a former top corporate manager and start-up founder/CEO turned builder, and now the full-time caretaker of OUTONOMIA. I carried the idea of an off-grid home with on-grid comfort in my head for quite some time—until I finally decided to go for it. From that point on, there was no turning back. It took me and a group of dedicated enthusiasts eight full years to bring the house to life. The journey was life-changing and gave me and my family a true sense of freedom.
I first came to OUTONOMIA as a visitor—and never left. Pavel and I fell in love here and started a family. Together, we cherish our off-grid home and openly share it with others. It’s truly a dream come true for us. I also handcraft ceramics that reflect the natural beauty of raw materials, embracing the organic textures of clay and glazes. Under my brand, méIKIGAI, I create minimalist, earthy pottery that doesn’t shout but instead soothes and warmly comforts.
